SWING DANCE WITH A KICK…HI-YA!
Check out the fabulous Shaolin Swing Spectacular ‘09

The USA Shaolin Temple is hosting a night of Kung Fu and Swing Dance performance accompanied by live music, Saturday March 7th 2009 at the Brooklyn Lyceum (227 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215) to represent the dancing way of the warrior in everyone’s favorite borough!

The roots of dance and martial arts are closely tied and this event hopes to showcase this relationship.  Live performances include The USA Shaolin Temple Demo Team, Tap by Christopher Erk of the Broadway Dance School, and a swing lesson taught by Leo Kin and Akemi Kinukawa accompanied by 2 of New York’s popular swing bands The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn and Tin Pan Blues Band.  This event will be sponsored by Japan Prestige Sake featuring some of the finest spring sake.  Beer or wine will be available and receive one free glass of sake with admission ticket.
